our vision

by Dale Gore, Senior Pastor

Our vision for our church is that we will be a community of true believers growing in grace, glorifying God in and through a variety of ministries, loving God, loving others, and doing our part in reaching the people of the world with the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and making disciples of them. Our plan to fulfill this vision is through our various and many ministries of the church by the enablement of God's Holy Spirit. We must create opportunities for ministries that will accommodate the spiritual gifts of our people. We must edify, train and equip our people for the work of the ministry. Working with our Savior in making God-fearing, maturing Christian disciples is our business.

We are committed to the Great Commandment (Matt. 22:37-40), to Love the Lord with all our hearts and love others as ourselves, and the Great Commission (Matt. 28:19-20), to reach the world with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We envision our people growing in their knowledge of the Bible. We envision our church to be one that equips people to be effective Bible Christians, leaders and teachers. We envision each of our believers to be continually aware of God’s presence and enthusiastically responding to God with all that they are and all that they have and all that they do. We see this fervent pursuit of God in private and corporate worship in a way that will clearly reflect the Lord’s worth and glory to the watching world.

We envision our church family having a personal relationship with Christ and being equipped to share their faith weekly using different methods and using individual styles that each Christian possesses.  We envision our church being a people who are excited about leading people to Christ and helping to make them true disciples of Jesus Christ. We envision the church growing to approximately 350 people, and then hopefully we will be in a position to lead part of the church to branch out and plant another sister church. If that is not feasible at the time we reach that growth, then we should grow further and plant a church at another time. We envision a caring church family of believers that spontaneously and lovingly responds to people's spiritual and physical needs. This support will lead to genuine friendships that encourage, build up, and create a strong sense of belonging.

We envision our people to be Christians who understand and commit themselves to the fulfillment of Biblical roles within the church family and individual families, rebuilding damaged marriages and restoring families in conflict. We envision having a periodic class for training parents how to effectively raise their children to the glory of God, and a periodic marriage class, and a periodic soul winning class. We envision our church as being a place where God’s grace is understood and extended toward every person. We envision a church where people are free to develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ based on Biblical principles rather than manmade external rules.

We envision a church where Christians are learning the basic Christian doctrines and understanding the spiritual walk of a true believer. We envision a church where serving others by using the spiritual gifts is a way of life both privately and through the various ministries which our church currently has, and seeking out other ministries in which to use our people in ministry as well. Our vision for building new facilities is being completed. We moved into the new building on September 27, 2009. The new facilities includes a new auditorium and 3 large classrooms. We build to accommodate our vision of developing and growing people through the ministries of the church.  We envision searching out ways to expand and grow people through all of our ministries. Our largest children’s ministries are the Awana Program and Sunday School. We need more classrooms in order to grow in these areas.

Our highest vision for all our ministries is that they will more and more focus on glorifying the Lord by seeking to build people up in the Christian faith and reaching out to others to help them receive Christ and use their gifts to lead people to honor our Lord and Savior.
